Lulu has just returned to Hong Kong from Japan after three months away. Yuko and I thought it would be a good chance for her to feel comfortable learning Japanese with her relatives. They were great to her. Lulu was enrolled in a Japanese kindergarten every day and in her spare time she picked up some new hobbies and forms of expression. She’s begun to draw and paint in a way that reveals genuine beauty and originality.
“Giraffe and Elephant”
It’s really amazing work. She’s exploring colours and shapes while finding her voice through the process. I think it has something to do with her learning Japanese and causing all her neurons to fire in unique blasts of creativity. This is one of the greatest things I’m enjoying as a father – watching this beautiful little girl become a singular entity. Rave on, little Lu!
