The Pirate Who Stole the Sea

It’s a bright blue morning
But no one can see
That I’m the pirate who stole the sea
And everyone is searching town for me

Can’t hear the foghorn
And lighthouse is fading
The sails are all torn
And the wind is dying
And all the deepwater sailors they are crying

I stole away the treasures of the season
I stripped away the rhyme from the reason
Now all the harbours everywhere are dry
And the moon is spinning in the sky

Who can say now
Nobody knows
Why the gates are rusted and closed?
And why my love always fades like a rose?

It’s a bright blue morning
And no one can see
That I’m the pirate who stole the sea
And everyone is searching town for me
